The executive protection business in the United States is on the rise due to economic downturn, terrorism on US soil, information security exploitation, and other factors. Between 2006 and 2010 security budgets for high-profile CEOs grew by over 30% according to according to executive compensation research firm Equilar. This rise in need for security and protection is continuing to grow and qualified applicants to fill these positions are in demand.
This intensive 8-day course was originally designed for active duty US Military and Law Enforcement personnel transitioning into the civilian protection industry. The course is designed and taught by working professionals in the protective industry that have extensive experience in all facets of corporate/celebrity and VIP protection. This Executive Protection course is the ideal starting point for those wishing to break into the protection business or those transitioning from Military or Law Enforcement, or for High Threat Protection Specialists/WPS/PSD to add corporate and celebrity protection to their existing knowledge and skill sets. The curriculum is current, relevant and is taught by industry professionals still actively working in the protection business.
Students will run complete details including detail planning, advance work, site and client assessments, team brief, client brief/interview and providing 24 coverage for your assigned client(s) which could include airport pick-ups, business meetings, special events and hotel coverage.
There are no prerequisites for the Corporate Executive Protection course.

This course is 8 consecutive days with 80 hours of classroom and hands-on training. This is a not-for-credit course.

Tuition for the course is $3150. This includes all required gear and equipment. This does not include transportation to San Diego or lodging during the course. This program is GI Bill approved. Post 9/11 GI Bill users will usually receive BAH in the amount of approximately $63/day. This course is also WIOA funded.

A certificate of completion and letter of skills competency are earned upon successful completion of the course
