Not only will you be able to pass the Spanish proficiency exam for a bilingual position at a school or community clinic, but you could also start your own business. The job outlook for translators for 2014-22 is growing much faster than average. This forty-hour program is designed to enhance your Spanish grammar and syntax, as well as to build the translation skills that will set you apart! Participants must have a high proficiency level in English and Spanish.

o  Introduction to translating & interpreting
o  Overview of the organizational structure of community organizations
o  Writing in Spanish: spelling
o  Most significant changes in Spanish spelling, grammar & syntax since 2010
o  Writing in Spanish: Comparative study of English/Spanish capitalization & punctuation
o  Vocabulary, technical vocabulary
o  Translation methods, approaches & considerations
o  Translator's online resources
